The Pandemonium hit the water at Porcupine Bay around 8:45. There were only a handful of rigs in the lot, but it was a pretty nice day with very little wind. We set off trolling upstream using downriggers, planer board, leaded line and flat lines with hoochies, flies and Rapalas. We focused on the top 20 feet of the water column, mostly 5 to 15 feet. The fish were scattered and we covered a lot of water, with fairly slow but steady hookups. Orange seemed to be the favorite color, and jointed Rapalas had the most hookups, but a couple nice rainbows came in on Orange/Black Kekeda flies. Several big, beautiful wild Redbands were safely released, and the final tally was 14 keepers ranging from 15 to 20 inches, fat and firm. Speed was 1.4 to 2.2 following a pretty erratic course.
