This was the first time out fishing for me this year. We arrived and were trolling by 9am. It was very overcast and cold. But about noon it cleared to partly cloudy with bits of sun.
We were supposed to leave at 11:30am because my son had a PT appointment. After 2 hours of not having bites, we started to look for schools of perch. Which we couldn’t seem to find. I knew John Knudsen had been out on Saturday so I texted him to find out how deep/area he found them in. We were close so it didn’t take long and my son had one on, of course. It was now 11:15am. He made a quick call to the PT place and got his appointment moved until 3.
Although he caught one fast at the beginning it did not continue. It was slow. The school was there on and off in 82 to 83 feet of water. We ended with my son 4 to my 3, all females.
They sure do make good fish sticks.

Hey Toni, thanks for the report. By any chance did you guys try for kokanee at all? Did you see anyone fishing for them while you were there?

Your welcome. We started trolling. For 2 hours. That is how I would catch kokanee. The water was 44 degrees. There wasn't anyone around us so I don't know what others were fishing for.
