Finally got out for my first fishing trip of the year. Seeing that we had a break in the weather. The wife and I decided to drive up north to lake Washington to try for yellow perch. My wife had never caught perch before and was willing to join me in the cold to see could catch one. We fished across from the Vmac training facility, a bit closer to the Mercer island side in 80-83ft of water. I was seeing the occasional marks right off bottom but no schools. We dropped and found sucess right away with nightcrawlers as bait. Once we boated one, I took a fillet and sliced ot into bait size pieces. What a game changer that was. Perch is my new favorite perch bait. lol, tight lines!
