Headed down to Lake Samammish today with four of us in the boat as well as a 2nd boat with only 1 person in it. We fished for 5 hours and only came up with 2 cutthroat trout. No other bites. Fishing was very slow today with the water temperature at 44 degrees. We troll with downriggers and lures and this time of year fish in the top of the water column. There were 3 or 4 other fishermen on the lake but we did not get a chance to talk to any of them. We fished from about 10 to 3 in the afternoon. About as slow as it gets on Samammish but a great day, great weather and our first chance to get the boat back out after about 4 months in the garage. Fishing is not always about catching but many times about spending time with friends/relatives. Get out there and leave us some reports so we know what/where to go next time.
