Two day trip as the week before we limited up by Mitchell creek but decided to fish the lower section by Chelan. On the 6th it was a very slow day but we managed 14 kokes, but fished 8 hours. Wind had died down so we took the opportunity. Unlike last week these chunky fish wanted UV squids and Old Goat lures tipped with orange or natural corn. Last week it was Gulp maggots or waxies. The Orange/pink OG1 and the straight orange OG1 did the best this trip. A lot of anglers out there and most struggled from talking to them. Heard a couple boats did well very early, predawn. After blowing out a trailer tire early yesterday morning, we missed the morning bite and fished a few hours. Caught 3 near Wapato point on the Old Goats again. Caught 12-14” fish with a couple 15” and 1 at 16” this trip! Can’t wait to eat these tasty fish!
