This weekend describes fishing in a nutshell, I drove 900 miles this weekend (back and forth plus running around) to hunt and fish around Lake Roosevelt. I shot 2 turkeys with one shell (my first turkeys ever!) but I didn’t catch anything on Roosevelt in 2 days of fishing.

I come back to my home waters (where I’ve also been struggling mostly due to weather) and I land 5 fish and loose 3 more within 2 hours, and had a beautiful sunrise to boot! All in all a good day for Team Sharkbait!

Green seemed to be the color of the day today, I got 2 on a green ace hi fly (the third one broke off and took it with him) and the other 3 came on a green hootchie with a spinner blade all tipped with worms and a little garlic bloody tuna scent.

Great report and congratulations on the Turkey. Man, that's some milage, especially with today's gas prices. Looks like you did well on the trout. Were you high lining for the most part? Still haven't seen a single kokanee report from American.

Tight lines, might see you out there soon.

Kokanee have been hit and miss for a few years it seems like. I mark em but I can’t get them to bite. Yes On the flat line, heavy dodgers so I didn’t need lead
