Took Dan with me out to the Arm. We went upriver caught a bunch of walleyes and jigged our way back down to Porcupine Bay. Every eye we caught was caught on a jig. Same story as the last month. Drifting the main river channel and current seams. Last stop was Blue creek where we boated our last 3 eyes. One was a 22 inch hens that was released. Cleaned 21.

Nice report Mr Mark!! Is there a boat dock floating or do you launch out to open water? I'll be there next week but might be alone is why I ask.

There is a dock floating on the water still; you can tie your boat up or just drop off your fishing partner. Think shallow water and current seams. Perch like swimbaits were most productive last Saturday. Everything I caught was 20 feet or less. I did no trolling. Definitely stay in the channel because the higher up you go the scarier it gets.

Are the fish in the spawn now or post spawn? Worth coming up that way this weekend? I have never fished that area before. Can fish be found on the troll?

The eyes have been spawning for several weeks already. I didn't get out to the Arm this past weekend, went to Rufus instead. It was extremely slow by the way. Yes you can troll up the eyes with spinners, just find areas of slower current near the main channel anywhere from Blue creek up to past buoy 3.
