We started fishing at 2pm and quit at 5.
The weather was partly cloudy with the sun coming out towards 3:30. There was a breeze most of the time. It was a relief from all the rain we had. The air temperature got to 65 while the water was 65.9. There were only a few people on the lake.
Today I was concerned because I had smoked squid before coming and even though I washed my hands I could smell the smoke on the right one. I didn’t have to worry as the fish didn’t mind. I out caught my son. I did offer to bait his hook but he declined.
We fished from the surface down to 27 feet. The kokanee (12 inches) I caught at 19 feet down in 53 feet of water at 2:45 pm. The bait was worm and corn. Our speed was 1.1 to 1.4 mph. We got bites through those speeds and all depths.
