Met my brother at Lake Samish Saturday morning for some kokanee fishing, Conditions were not what I expected in regards to the wind. While it never got strong enough to blow me off of the lake, it definitely was not pleasant in a kayak. Luckily the hot fishing made up for the wind.

Very quickly I landed 6, and probably lost another 6. Action was so fast I rarely was able to have both lines in the water at the same time. Over the next hour, I was able to land another 3 and have another 3-4 get off on the way in mixed in with takedowns that did not stick. Stil decent enough action. Then it went very quiet trying to get the last of my 10 landed. I think it took about an hour. All in all though a great, fun morning on the Hobie.

All fish were caught at either 20 or 30 feet down, using Mack's Lure Sling Blade and Double D Dodgers, paired with a 50/50 Gold Elgin Fishing God's Tooth spoon kokanee rigged, and a Mack's Lure UV Magic Imperial Spoon I took apart and kokanee rigged much like the God's Tooth. With these I started with a chartreuse spoon, then later switched that to pink after they stopped hitting the chartreuse.
