We had the best adventure at Baker Laker for Sockeye Fishing this year. We stayed at Swift Creek campground and we have seen so many awesome Anglers and long-time friends too.

So let's break it down the total caught with my 5-person family 3 limits on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday it was 5 limits until we left. That's pretty good for starting Friday thru Sunday. We were blessed with the limit change on that Friday from 2 to 3 per person. This became the best challenge for my kiddos.

We used downriggers at 35' to 45' deep, which seem to be the key all our time there.
Big dodgers slim blad or Double D dodgers, with a bend to make a whip.

We stuck to spinners and a few custom tube flys with leaders as short as 6" to 8" leaders.

The bait we used was red coon shrimp.

Speed .9 to 1.2 speed.

We like doing trolls around Noise Creek t or just steering away from the crowds.
Super fun trip for my family and Baker Lake Gods gave up some nice 5 to 10lb Sockeye Salmon.

Made a Highlight video of our adventures on youtube below. Tight lInes and enjoy the fun.

Good report as always. Nearly impossible to reserve at swift creek. Reserving as soon as possible is still tough when sockeye season not set til that month. Isn’t noisy creek usually a busy area and pretty shallow? 6” leader wow I thought 12” was short. Thanks for the tips gonna be going real soon. Oh, on this dodger bend do you just bend in the middle? Have you tried white or small flasher?
