Fished the Skokomish Tide Flats with my friend and dog. The Creel Reports have been showing super-hot fishing there the last 3 seasons. Parked along the side of the river just south of power lines where everyone parks on the side of the road. There is a worn trail that goes all the way towards the tide flats just south of the unfinished beach house, so easy to follow where everyone is going. We had a hoot going out past the river mouth and fishing the saltwater flats wading around. Had a good morning low tide to make the hike out there. Tons of fish swimming around the entire bay.

People upstream of us were catching TONS of big 10+ lb Coho salmon. Many with 4-fish limits.

Looking at the regulations, it's not allowed to keep salmon in the fresh water UNTIL October 1st, so maybe those people might have been bending the rules? Either way, you can fish downstream of the power lines after Sept 30th and keep salmon, which is great with a 4 fish limit and able to keep wild coho. Looks like there are a few deep holes where one could work the fish.
