I haven't been posting any reports but I have been fishing. Both Glenn and I have fished the Arm, Long Lake and Glenn has also fished Kettle. They have all been slow for us so I thought we should try Potholes. Sure it's the middle of summer and the temperature is supposed to be 98 but what the heck. We launched at first light and tried jigs and jigging raps on some of the humps near Crab creek. After 30 minutes and no fish it was time to troll. It took us about 2 hours to locate fish. We mainly trolled the channel going up into Crab creek in 18 to 22 feet. We found one 100 yard stretch that was holding fish. We caught about 20 eyes, 25 bullheads, a few perch, a largemouth and 1 bluegill. We cleaned 10 eyes. Smile blades with a chartreuse float worked best. 1200 to 1400 was the most productive time, go figure.
