My son Adam and I started fishing around 9am. We quit at 1pm.
The tide was incoming. Low was at 7:35 AM 0.6 feet with High at 3:59 PM being 11.1 feet.
The weather was sunny with highs in the upper 70’s for the day. Water temperature was for the most part 57 degrees.
I tried to keep the boat speed at 3 MPH but went from 2.6 to 3.5.
We were using squid for bait on lures. My Coho came at 72 feet on the downrigger in about 200 feet of water east of the Point Ruston Historic Ferry.
I felt like I was fighting a 20-pound fish but at home, after it was bled, it weighed 6.5 pounds. I thought I fought it for 20 minutes but it was only a few. A moment to remember though.
