So what does a retired guy with no honey-do's on the first day of winter do? Go fishin! It was a beautiful day, sunny and no wind. Got on the lake around 9:00 and got off at 2:30. One other boat out flingin flies, and some dock fishermen. Trolled in circles around the lake, changing lures on each pass to experiment what they were interested in. One rod ran God's Tooth and the other ran Flatfish. No one color stood out above the rest. And it was about 50/50 between the 2 rods. Weight was either 1/8 or 1/4 oz. Steady action all the time with a bite every 15-30 minutes. One double too! Chinese fire drill. Hooked about a dozen or so, killing 5 and releasing the rest. Usually release them all, but the Ukrainian neighbors wanted a fresh Xmas present. Fish were all nice sized. Thank you WDFW for the Fall plants.
A marvelous day all in all. Wish my partner, Fireman Bob, could have come, but he had to work. PDB! As I usually tell him, "Don't work any harder, but just keep working. Your tax dollars support me."
Merry Xmas Y'all.
