Arrived at 5 am. the water was flat. no wind or rain. I was trolling for
kokanee between the islands when a series of waves came from nowhere. A max.
of ten waves that looked and felt like a large boat wake ran past me. I
looked around for another boat but only one other fisher in a smaller craft
was on the lake. I caught four kokanee on troll w/triple tease and worms.
When I returned home I learned that an earth quake of 5.0 mag. hit 30 miles
north west of Olympia. The unexplained waves were created by the tremor at
6:19 am. Fishing slowed down by 8 am when cloud cover broke.
