The last report on this lake is about what you could expect when fly fishing here except during May when there are still stocker rainbows from 8 to 12 inches long. If you fish a size
6 or 4 brown or black leech pattern or bass popper tight to cover for bass up to 20 inches the biggest I have caught were
about 16-17 inches long. I also fly fish a lot and catch and release every thing but every one else keeps every thing they
catch in this lake except bluegill. I fish this lake about 10 times a
year and the number of bass has dropped due to everyone keeping everything. So please practice catch and release and
keep the less desirable fish such as the perch, bluegill and catfish which taste just as good as bass if not better. And just because you catch a limit of trout doesn't mean you have to
keep all five just take a couple and let the others get bigger so they can put up a real fight like your eastern Washington
holdovers.
