I was fishing with my friend Nick and his brother at the big T-dock by the pool around 12:00pm. I brought along some corn and decided to fish for carp. By about 1:30, I had a nibble and I thought it was a carp. But when I set the hook and looked at my rod tip, I knew something was different. Usually when I have a carp on, my rod would be bending like hell, but instead the rod tip just bent slightly. As I was reeling the fish to the surface, it gave me a couple good flips and jumps. My friend Nick, went racing for the net and was trying to net the fish. At the time, I still wasn't sure what kind of fish it was. But I was sooooo excited and just pulled the fish out of the water into the air and onto the dock. The hook came out of the fish's mouth already and was flopping on the dock. The fish was a nice fat brown trout that hit 14.5 inches. The fish was the biggest trout I've caught in Green Lake.
