I found that these 2 little storm ponds called Sutter Pond and Rainbow Lake outside a development that are connected to each other through a pipe under a road. They are loaded with largemouth bass, bluegill, and cutthroat. The bass get up to very nice sizes. Every time I have fished there, I have caught a 2+ pound bass. The biggest I have caught there was 4 pounds and my friend caught a 5 pounder. There are a lot more of those 5+ pounders in there. You can see a lot of them in the shallow areas, especially during spring. Also, you can catch a lot of cutthroat in the 2 storm ponds. Most of them are nice sizes, you will usually catch them in the 1 1/2 pound range. There is a couple small streams running into the pond which must be the reason why cutthroat have been successfully breeding there. These ponds are on the Sammamish Plateau, outside of the development of Klahanie. You will find them if you go up Issaquah Fall City Road and then go to and follow Issaquah Pine Lake road. I don't feel bad about giving these secret spots away because no one should keep anything out of here because, unfortunately, these ponds are polluted and the fish would be not only gross but bad for you to eat. Its weird though, you would never expect to find bass or cutthroat of this size to be coming out of these small ponds. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions about these ponds at irishfishinguy@fishinglife.com. They really are great for bass and cutthroat fishing.
