Before I write about the Perch fishing (which has been great), it appears from
reading the majority of the Silver fishing reports that it was about the same
as last year. Lots of fish - very few caught. I did not even attempt it this year
however, since my freezer is full from the saltwater season.....

One other comment, the launch at Kenmore has a sign which says that parking overnight
is prohibited (cars and/or boats.) Since that is ' posted ' and enforced, why are the indian
gill netters allowed to leave their boats overnight, pulled up and tied on the bank of the slew?
Seems like a double standard to me?

We have been Perch fishing in the usual location at the north end of the lake and it has been excellent
every trip. We use small plastic jigs (white or pink/white) with a small piece of Perch meat.
This method has been used for years and still gets the job done. We fish about an inch off the bottom (44 to 48 feet)
and know if a fish does not bite within a minute (usually less), there is no bait left on the hook.
These fish are very good at stealing bait but there are so many it doesn't make any difference.

This is definitely the kind of fishing to take the kids or grandkids. No bored kids on my boat, rather lots of smiles
and " My fish is the biggest " teasing.

As of last Sunday the bite was still hot.
