Fished curlew around 11:30 am and went looking for some Tigers and Bass. My Dad hooked a nice 6#+ Bass and I lost another nice one at the boat. We never saw any Tigers. Water temp was 60 or so. The Lake looked like it was starting to bloom. Decided to troll for some trout and never had a bump. The week before, my Dad and Brother did real good on the Trout and landed one around 4#. It was nice to get out anyways. We saw about 20 turtles catching some rays. Fishing should pick up with warmer weather. If you ever get the chance, try for them big Tigers. They will hit anything big and noising in the shallows early in the morning. Late summer and fall seem to be the best times. I caught and released 2 last 4th of July 25# and 27#+ Oh, and bring steel leaders, they have a mouthful of teeth. Tight lines.
