I have fished this lake for a number of years with rather good results. At times have taken my grandson along and we both have done well. The public launch is very shallow and leads into the lake proper through sort of a small channel .One of the best fishing holes in the lake is ---as this channel opens into the lake---turn left and go along the shoreline to the second water-skiing buoy and
anchor between it and the shore. On your left will be like a little cove. Use rainbow power bait and still fish--that works best. Trolling is o.k. too but you will catch less fish. We have usually limited out there on trout up to 17 inches. On the date mentioned above my seven year old grandson caught two of the big ones. Try to avoid sunny hot days-- that's when the water skiers are out and unfortunately they are very aggressive on this lake and approach very close even if you have a child in your small boat. Good fishing. Dough.
