Went out in the little boat head counter clock wise. We were using a red wedding ring tip with a crawler and a small split shot. About 10 minutes into the trip my pole almost jerked out of my hands with a mighty thump. Line went streaking of my reel and we cut the motor. Soon our direction changed and we I was on the fight of my life. A bass fisherman near by pulled in close to see about all the racket. Soon my rainbow was sky-rocketing into the air and giving a heck of a show. After a half hour of struggle the fish finally tired out and my buddy had to reach into the cold water and grab some gill. He lugged up this monster 10 pounder, which proceeded to give my boat one heck of a beating. THAT WAS THE LAST FISH CAUGHT! It was dead after that. Hopefully tomorrow goes better.
