Got to Mineral with my boss early to try to catch the big ones so often spoke about in this lake. It was hard to see that early but the stockers started rising, so we started trolling. Had on a little spinner with fake red eggs on it. We trolled the side of the lake with the big dock and at the far end hooked into two small stockers(10 to 12in). We tried everything after that but the lake just stopped giving bites. Then came the crowds, I was a little amazed at the amount of people who got onto the lake. I would have guessed over 50 boats easy before 9 AM. I think the stories of big fish out of this lake are just propagated by the small town and its lack of industry. Well, it's pretty up there but I think I'll try my luck elsewhere.
