I have been fishing off the docks at the arboretum for a week now. I usually get down there around 7 pm and don't leave until 11 or 12. I have caught three 10 inch catfish, some nice size blue gill, a few small perch, and 2 5-8 inch small mouth bass. I average around 3 fish a night, which isn't too bad, I'm just starting out. But the arboretum is a fun place to go for a guaranteed catch. Although I'm still waiting to catch a big one, it's out there though, I know. I have been using night crawlers, weighted to the bottom, and either cast close to the dock, or out by the edge of the lily pads. Any suggestions on how to catch bass here would be helpful, cuz that's what I've been trying to fish for.
