Went to Sun Lakes with my son an friend and his girl friends son for the 3rd year in a row for opening day. Its a good place to bring youngins, the action is usually reliable, and keeps the kids in the game for most of the morning. Saturday was a pretty good day (except for those people that feel that they have to set their car alarms, that never seem to fail to go off early in the morning and they can't find their keys). We caught 10 fish in a two hour period, and lost about 12 (might help if you have hooks on that flat fish, lost about 4 fish before realized that a fish had stolen my treble hook of my flat fish, and six year old son won't let you forget that he just out fished you again). Sunday morning was a
little overcast, and the fishing had slowed a little bit, but still
productive. We caught 13, but brought home 12 (still working with kids on keeping fish below the sides of the boat) that morning, in about a 3 hour time frame. All fish caught where of descent size of 11 to 14 inches.
