WOW ! What a great fishing trip.... We launched at 7:30 am at the O'Sullivan Launch and had our first nice 4 lb. rainbow at 7:50 ! We had heard that the trolling lure of choice was the "baby hot lips" in a green color. I didn't have any of those so we used "chartreuse green" Rebel brand crawfish... they dive nicely on their own and wiggle their way down to around 8 feet... At approx. 8:20 BANG ! Another fighting rainbow ! 3 lbs ! This was my 5 year olds first trout ! She set the hook and played him for about 5 minutes... "she then relinquished the rod to me out of exhaustion "... It started to get a little windy but we stayed out and it payed off... at approx, 9:00 I hooked into a nice 3 lb rainbow... Green seemed to be the color of the day... lots of bumps and hits and we had a blast! We left early due to the cold rain ! The bite is on at Mar Don ! Fish till ya drop ! Good Luck !
