I had just heard that the WDFW had planted 6,500 rainbow into
Klineline, so I grabbed my ultra lite rod and headed out. The fishing was somewhat slow at the beginning, however there were some bait fishermen that were taking fish. I was fishing a roostertail and had caught a few trout. You could
see the fish swimming near the shore so I put on a small plastic worm just to see what would happen. The fish went crazy! I couldn't set the hook into one of them for the life of me, even when I was getting bites on every cast. I did manage to land and release 30 though. I plan on heading out to Battle Ground
Lake next time, the WDFW has planted 5,000 rainbow trout in there including 200 broodstock rainbows.
