Saturday morning was the hottest and fastest trout fishing I have ever done! My buddy and I launched at 4:45am, and we left Lake Ki at 6:00am with our limits. With 18,000 jumbo plants this year, Ki was a great choice. As usual, Powerbait was key for us - I had my first fish on just after the bait hit the water.
I went alone Sunday afternoon with good luck too, leaving with my limit. The fish ranged from 10 to 14 inches.
If you get a chance to fish Ki soon, watch you line closely on the cast - 50% of the fish I caught were hooked before the bait hit the lake bottom.
