Well got out to Wenberg State Park at 5:30p.m (basically to find out how some new lures worked) and suprisingly caught several small bass off the shore. we didn't fish anymore that night since the insane jet skiers were driving us mad. Saturday morning we got out on the water about 6:45am and decided to troll a while for some trout. After using practically every lure in our tackle box we came to the conclusion that they must be on the bottom. It
was about 9:00am when the skiers started to come out so we anchored and tried to fish off the bottom with Red Powerbait. by 9:30am we had caught and released two "bows" and we were so darn hungry that we were sampling fish eggs! That evening we decided to dock on a floating dock located about 175ft.
off-shore. I immediately used powerbait off the bottom and caught several more trout. We did the same thing the next morning and caught 4 trout each releasing all of them. very nice lake excluding the jet skis and skiers. by the way I've heard that it has some nice Smallmouths in there. good luck!
