A buddy of mine and I went out to
Rapjohn Lake on Sunday to see if we could catch some bass. The lake was like glass not a single wave or slightest movement. It would've been perfect for my fiance' to ski on. Well, we got there about 9:30 a.m. and there were only two other boats on the lake. We didn't catch a thing. I didn't get a chance to talk to anyone else but it didn't sound like anyone else was doing much better. We decided to relocate on the lake when we weren't getting any bites but my buddies boat wouldn't start so we had to look like idiots and start rowing. While rowing and moving at a snail's pace we did see some small bass swimming by the boat launch. We didn't want to stop fishing so we went down the road to
Kapowsin to try our luck, which isn't a lot, bank fishing. We used
worms and spinners. My buddy caught a two rock bass and I got skunked.
There were a lot of people fishing and making a lot of noise. One
boater even went swimming from his boat with his two buddies. The boat was empty while they were swimming. Can you believe that? Why go fishing if your gonna go swimming. I guess the guy didn't know that we have places for that, there called swimming pools. It was unbelieveable, he and his buddies were out in the middle of the lake swimming. Anyway, we left at about 1:30 but as we were leaving we heard some others boaters making noise about the size of the bass that they just caught. I hear that Kapowsin has some lunkers in it. I'll probably go back sometime this week in the morning. Talk to later.
