Me and a buddy just bought our fishing license finding out its the the same price as last year. ( A good sign) So we broke our cabin fever and headed out to the lake to test out some new lures from the holidays. We were mostly using crankbaits and spinners to arouse some bass either large or smallmouth that are present in the lake. After about an hour of castin and reelin from the bank we decided we needed a boat so we hung our poles up and headed back to the car. On our way we spoke to a couple of anglers heading up to the parking lot from their little trip in a boat they said the fishing was lousy trolling around the lake also they had heard the lake was stocked on March 21 and so they say and so it goes. There are some nice bass in there though, check with Bud in the boathouse -he has some nice pictures to prove it.
