After reading the last report on this lake a couple of days ago I just had to see for myself how good the fishing is. It's awesome! These trout are very healthy, the smallest fish that I hooked was around 12 inches. I fished from 2:00 p.m. until dark and hooked at least 40 trout, mostly cutthroats but some rainbows also. The biggest fished measured 17 inches and weighed about 2 lbs. Almost all were caught on wooly buggers. I saw a couple of guys in a boat from Oregon nailing fish after fish, was real tempted to see if they had a Washington license (I'm a WDFW volunteer). Go soon, it won't last forever! This weekend it's going to be a ZOO there I'm sure. Tight lines. And PLEASE be careful handling the fish that you plan to release; I saw a few fish struggling at the surface and several lying on the bottom dead.
