Me and my best friend have been going to Spanaway for the last couple of weekends and have going home with nothing but cold fingers. But back in Jan. in the early afternoon I caught a nice 2 and half pounder, and 2lb guy, and he caught a nice 3lb trout.
So we thought we would give it another try, we headed to south end of the lake ( to the hole) and drop anchor there. NOTHING, no nibble nothing even on the fish finder. So we move a little towards the southeast of the lake and drop anchor in about ten feet of water. after about fifteen minutes I finally got nibble I was so excited I yank the bait right out his mouth, lost it! You can get me once but not twice. Cast back to the same spot within minutes my line started to move I gave the reel a few turns and bam! that baby jump straight out of the water. My best friend did a good job of netting that nice 5lb beauty. Picture soon to follow of nice guys I caught in Spanaway Lake. There some are big guys in that lake! Deryl & Mannie
