I have been going to Offut for a little over a year now with friends and family and have never been skunked until today. We started out around 1030 and though the weather didn't look very promising we stuck around anyway. Around 1230 without a bite and what appeared to be the sun trying to reach out to us, snow began to fall. It was at that time I realized the water might be a bit too cold for the fish to wanna play. However Im a southerner and very stubborn so I stayed another 3 hours without a bite. Finally my wife tricked me into thinking it was already 5 o'clock and I decided to leave. It was only 330 when I got home and it was then I realized the trick my wife played. Although we didn't catch anything, it snowed, and my 4 year old son thought it would be fun to take a swim, we had fun and will be back in about 2 weeks once the lake warms up a bit.
