Today was an awesome day to be fishing. Me and my cousin Jay went fishing today at 10:00 this morning and we started off fishing of the bank by the dam. We had only broghten roostertails and luckily enough it was a good thing. Besides the water is way to cold for bass. Within 5 mins I had already caught a nice 1lb trout. Then later my cousin couldnt stop catching fish. We fished from 10:00 to 2:00 and in that time my cousin caught 6, count em 6 trout. 2 browns and 4 rainbows. I had only caughten that first rainbow and that was all. We used a 1/8 inch silver roostertail with a white tail and silver spinner and believe me it worked like a charm. I would highly recommend using roostertails if u want to catch trout at Lacamas. Right now the dam is open so the trout are getting pulled into it. If u would like to try ur luck, fish in front of the dam where the water is getting sucked in. Its where we fished. Well hopefully Ill get to go back soon. Got to go fry up some trout. Talk to u later.
