Fun day over at Quincy Lake! Comfortable day with temps around mid 50's, and overcast skies. Found there were quite a few people camping there when I drove in. First tried to fish Burke lake at around 9am. Had no bites in a about two hours and found ourselves driving back to Quincy lake where people were reporting catching fish. We walked around the east side of the lake and found a little cove where the fish were rising on a constant basis. Set up about 30" leaders and casted out using Rainbow power bait. We went through periods of catching fish and than ofcourse catching nothing at all but most fish brought in were around the average of 11". Nothing huge but I did see one very large trout swim by probably a few feet from the bank, I must say it was well over 20", very very large! All in all, it was fun, I'm sure in the next few weeks the fishing will only improve as the temperatures increase a bit! Best of luck!
