Launch onto the lake at 10:45 AM and having seen a significant school of bait-fish just off the launch area, decided to try trolling a Carey Special on a sinking line. To make a long story short, after 2 hours of trolling without any strikes decided to try Chironomid fishing. After almost 2 hours of Chironomid fishing without any success, elected to go back to my sinking line and make one more pass around the lake. At 2:30 PM took the first strike of the day landing a very husky 18" Rainbow. Additional passes in this area came up empty so elected to move into the middle of the lake and wind drift down the lake while eating my lunch. Caught 2 additional fish by 3:30 PM when all action completely died. Continued fishing till 7:00 PM before calling it quits.
Talked with a number of others on the lake during my stay and only heard of 2 other fish having been caught, so guess this was a good day.
