Fished Loma Lake on the 3rd adn the 4th. on the third, I just drove up to the boat launch about 7 pm and casted out a slip sinker setup with gamakatsu egg leader and red glitter power bait. 8 casts in half hour. 5 of those casts yielded pan-sized trout and the other three were missed bites. Kinda fun to get a limit that quickly now and then! Maria and I had 'em for dinner that night.

Next night I decided to come back with the float tube. Took the sink tip fly rod rigged with a black carey special and bass stick with a rubber worm. I stuck with the bass rig...nothng doing. Oh well, it was a nice night out. I'll try fly fishing for trout next time out. Lot of fish rising and I saw onen of the homeowners catch some trout off his boat...looked like he was trolling pop gear.
