My buddy and I were out on the water just after 6 A.M., everything seemed just perfect, weather, water conditions etc. couple ol' farts on the bank were catchin' a few plants.
We however were there to catch us some Spiny Rays, perch, crappie, or even bluegills, but this was not to be our day.
After hitting several lillypad and brush areas, all we were able to find were two crappie
5-6 inches long, way too small, we had several strikes throughout the day, and witnessed several Trips being caught, but that was it.
We watched the Bald Eagles fish and saw a couple of big Cranes hulking about, it was great being outdoors and watching nature do her thing, but I do believe the water is still a bit too cold for the perch and cousins to really start hittin'.
