YOU WON'T FIND THIS LAKE LISTED ANYWHERE. IT IS SEVERAL MILES FROM
PINE AND SPIDER LAKE, AND TO GET TO IT SEVERAL BAR GATES HAD TO BE OPEN. THIS LAKE HAD GOLDEN TROUT & BROOK TROUT (LARGEST WAS 14")
AND AT NIGHT YOU COULD SHINE THE LIGHT INTO THE WATER BY UNDERWATER
FEEDER STREAMS AND SEE KOKANEE BALLS 4' WIDE. THE SLOW ONE'S WERE INSTANT CHOW TO THESE BIG FISH I COULD NEVER CATCH. THE AQUATIC LIFE INCLUDED A STRANGE CREATURE THAT LOOKED LIKE A SKINK, BUT IT HAD TOED-FEET AND AN OSCILLATING SIDE-TO-SIDE TAIL LIKE AN EEL. THEY WOULD COME UP HAVING INHALED PART OF A WORM, AND SEEMED TO DEMAND SURFACE AIR INSTEAD OF GILL-BREATHING. A SALAMANDER PERHAPS.
123*23'Lg 47*23'Lt BETWEEN THE DRY BED LAKES AND VANCE CREEK.
PICTURES OF THE MAGNIFICENCE ARE AVAILABLE BY E-MAIL. THESTOCKSGUY@HOTMAIL.COM
