With the seemingly increase to summer like tempatures, I decided to fish the waters adjacent to lk. Wallula for some Channel Cats. I had planned to fish a little more out in the main channel this trip, but ended up staying near the boat launch and fishing close to it. There is a little Army Corp of Engineer's Campground that has running water and restrooms, that provide a bit of an upgrade from the area by the launch. For those who are looking for a clear water fishery, this ain't it!! the waters flowing into Lk. Wallula are muddy brown and as close to a muddy Mississippi experience as your probably gonna get here in the Pacific Northwest, the vegitation that grows right up to the bank reinforces this.
Well the weather fooled me , it go pretty cool, and the fishing was slow, still I caught the biggest cat I've caught and released to date.
