Having lived in the town of Medical Lake for several years,I must admit I was skeptical of the WDFWs plan to stock rainbows in Medical. I was accustomed to those lovely and awesome brownies that it produced year after year....a brownie sanctuary if you will. I'm sure lots of other fly fisherman agreed with my line of thinking. Anyways, those big, bulldog brownies are still there, in addition to some truly monstrous rainbows that rival those of Amber and Coffeepot lakes. Remember, folks, Medical Lake is a restrictive regs fishery, ie artificial lures and flies only, w/single barbless hook. This means no bait!!! The ML police dept will respond promptly if you observe poachers, much more promptly in fact than the warden. Their phone number is 565-5003. Keep this number handy and good luck to all!
