My Dad and I tried McMurray for the first time. Even though it was a week day, the parking lot was almost full. We motored out to where it looked like other people were still fishing and cast out our anchors. We also put our rain gear on because we really got soaked with a few cloud bursts. We still fished for over two hours and my Dad was the only one to catch a fish. We saw a number of other people trolling, so we decided to do the same. I put on an olive wooley bugger (based on what I had read on this web site) and my Dad put on a chartreuse colored spinner. That seemed to be a good combination because in less than 3 hours we had our limits. The trout were between 12 and 14 inches in size. What started as a not very good fishing experience turned into a great outing.
