I was able to get out a few hours on both Friday and Saturday mornings. The small Mouth Bass are in the spawning stage now. We saw the smaller males in different areas building nests. My buddy caught a fat female in shallow water [4'] also. Brandon I saw you out in the stump flats with your buddy. I was in the red Lund. You were in the right spot, we were using crank baits and caught several there.
The places to be working are the spawn areas, any large gravel flat or up the small canals. On bright days use natural color baits. Crank or spinner baits allow you to cover water quickly and catch the active fish first. Then use sinkos or jigs after you know where the fish are. This will catch the not so active fish.
I am happy to talk to anyone on the lake, fishing is how I relax. Water temp 59 deg.
Bill
