It all started just like last weekend, first 5 minutes I land a 11 inch rainbow, and the biting continued within the center of the lake. Fished from 11am till 5pm, 4 rainbows all 10 and 11 inchers, along with 7 perch all from 7 to 8 inches long. Forget the trout bait, have a number 10 hook along with a worm and just drift, if the trout fishing gets bored, there is plenty of perch (good eating). This is the first year I have fished here, I have not been skunked here yet 3 for 3 now for the trout. The perch can be annoying if you are just fishing for trout, just stay in the center and away from the shores. But if you don't care bring the kids with, because you will be busy all day. Oh,,,don't forget to take your WDFW sticker with you because the Maggie Lake Community Official checks for them. -Fish On!
