Hey Bob,
I would have given you a tip earlier, however I dont look under Lake Spokane for new write ups on the lake. Seems as folks that live on the Stevens county side call this Long Lake, folks on the Spokane side call it Lake Spokane, anyway just happended across your question. The first thing to look for below the dam is clear to milky water, not mud, any brown tinge to the water, you might as well forget the fishing. If the water is clear or has that green milky color to it, the fishing should be good, if the crawlers dont work the potzky's salmon eggs will, use a slinky weight about 3/8-1/2 oz and make sure it stays in contact with the bottom. The trout are moving back down into the lake right now as the high water is almost over, try going to the Boat launch and walking out on the point at the mouth of the Little Spokane, have seen many large Browns being caught, and every evening, you will see them jumping down there. If you have a boat, the back eddy across from the big marked sandbar is excellent, use rapalas and a banana weight to get down about 15-20 feet during the day, use them on top the last 3 hours of light, just backtroll the same speed as the current and you will hook up, some of these trout may weigh well over 10 pounds, bring a net.

*Editor's note: let's keep the report forms for fishing reports only. I didn't have the heart to delete this nice reply from Nick.
