Headed down to the Snake River with another couple for some camping and fishing and both were excellent! We spent the first night and morning fishing for Crappie and found plenty of willing biters to provide a fish fry for the four of us. Finally on the second evening I had a chance to do some bass fishing and they were biting. The highlights were a 4 lb Largemouth and then the next day a 5 lb Smallmouth (according to the Rapala Lockn'Weigh scale) and plenty of smaller fish to keep anyone happy. My family and I are returning next week and I can hardly wait! Boaters beware in the river though, the water is moving faster than normal, the level is about 4 feet lower than normal, and there is a lot of junk floating in it (I saw a tree twice the size of my boat float by!). Stay safe!
P.S. I'll post the photo later since my digital had dead batteries and I had to go old school with a disposable for the evidence. I hate waiting for development!
