I'm getting this report out a little late. I went to Pattison with my son Hunter, and my good friend Blake. We started fishing about 0745. At 0800 my buddy Blake hooked into a Lunker 4.1 lb. Largemouth. He was using a purple worm. About 10 minutes later my son Hunter caught a 6 lb. Monster Bucketmouth. She was 21 1/2" and had a girth of 15". I was so proud of him. He is only 7 years old and has been outfishing me for the last couple of years. He fought the lunker really well. She tried to dive under the boat a couple of times. Hunter did a great job of playing her. He was tossing a worm at the shoreline when she hit. The water surface temperature was hovering around 61 deg. It was calm in the morning and got real windy later. Hunter and Blake also caught some Rock Bass too. I got skunked but couldn't have had a more special day on the water. In this picture Hunter has a scowl. He said that was because, catching this Lunker was a real battle.
