Got to fish with my good friend Bob Johansen after a long winter break. We decided to give St Clair a try. Launched at 7am and as we began fishing in fairly short order we each caught twin 9 1/2 inch bass. Mine on a WCCT worm and Bob's on a black/bue jig. Then the rain began. And continued. And got worse. Every time I thought it was as bad as it could get it got worse. By 10am we had gotten no bites and I was pretty wet, even with rain gear. I will say that St Clair sure looks like a great bass lake! Anyway, we moved over to a new lake, Patterson and fished until noon. The rain had stopped and it was actually pretty nice. And again, a great bassy looking lake with tons of structure to cast to. But, again, no fish. So a disapointing day of not catching - especially considering all the great looking water we fished. But a good time all the same. Always a pleasure to fish with a fishing buddy. Oh, water temp 64.
