ken and i went to the buena pond #6. it was rainy but we needed to do some fishing. we went well prepared. but that does not seem to be true when your fishing!!! i walked to the other side to see if i could get some crappie/bluegill/bass. all i saw was alot of very small perch and sunfish. i was using a 1" white twister tail grub with a redhead jig, fishing the outer weeds for crappie. (didn't bring a net)!!!!!!???? i got a hit and set the hook. man!!! was i surprised when the fish took off, bending my rod more than any fish this year. i was able to get it up through the weeds and was surprised to see a channel cat that would have gone easily 30". well i was able to get it up next to me (i was in the water) thought i had it played out enough to be able to get my hands on it.(remember no net) well as soon as mr. catfish felt my hand, it shot away so fast that it straightened out my jig. well thats what fishing is all about. didn't catch anything else. <')////<
